R.I.P. - A Tribute to Blue Thunder*

on the way home yesterday, i left a little early to give my kid a haircut. i should have just stayed at work. :(

this crazy guy in a mini van almost ran me into the median, i honked and he finally saw me then i let him ahead of me and he sped off. about 5 miles down the road he was in front of me again, and i think he pissed someone else off.

they jumped in front of him and slammed on the brakes on a clear highway. he came to a complete stop from 65mph and i went into his backend. the original guy who slammed the brakes immediatelty sped up and didnt get hit. luckily since the higway was clear, the impact threw his car forward, if he was fully stationary with no where to go, the van would have run up into the drivers seat. definitely a blessing.

the guy i hit was fat and smelled like a poop. seriously the dude hadnt had a bath in weeks. he was half bald with long nappy hair and a long braided beard. his hands had nicotine and grease all over them and his teeth were dark brown and grounded down. at the end of his beard he had a pin sticking through it that was for the public transportation system. just strange all around

anyways other than that he seemed ok and was pretty much just cursing the guy who slammed on his brakes in front of him. he wasnt hurt but his minivan had to be towed too. the ambulance checked him out and he was ok other than high blood pressure. because of his demeanor and appearance, it makes me think maybe he did it on purpose or even was high or something.

the cop was cool and gave me a ride to the gas station, on the way he was pumping some ni**a, ni**a, ni**a mp3s into the speakers. the cop gets a text from his buddy it said " Best bumper sticker ever on a woman's car 'If you're ridin my ass, you better be pullin my hair' ". I gave the cop some dap and he dropped me off with my woman.

i really loved this car, i took good care of it and did all my own upkeep. changed many a part to keep it running. the insurance totaled it out and gave me a fair payment. Its still cosmetically sound except for the jacked up front, so I bet they salvage and repair it on the cheap. i just dont have time to salvage it myself, or id do it.

anyways R.I.P. Blue Thunder* you will be missed. Im just thankful you saved my life, you were a great car :portalhug:

They say you should be 1 car length away from the car in front of you for every 10 miles of speed you're going, but no one does that bullshit. In an average situation, if the guy in front of you is going 65 and stops short, you're probably hitting him.

Either that, or DNG was pissed and tailgating the motherfucker.

Exactly.

That sucks, though. Especially all of the work he put into the car and everything. If only that dick in the minivan had never gotten on the road.

im just lucky to only have whiplash and banged up knees. got some muscle relaxers to help if i need them.

I really wasnt tailgating the guy, im a pretty calm driver and dont mess with people or drive agressively. i was ~5 car lengths behind him. it was a clear highway with no congestion. the other car literally switched lanes and stopped cold turkey in front of the van.

the minivan had to go from 65-0 in about 5 seconds and had time to react (actually think this guy was going ~70-75). since i couldnt see in front of him (my car being smaller) it only gave me about 3 seconds. i was able to brake a bit so impact was lessened. from a visual it didnt look like he was going to full stop. i seriously think that there was something wrong with the minivan guy, like his reaction time was delayed or he wanted to be rear ended for insurance $

i tried to turn the wheel and switch lanes, just didnt have the time. :cry:

no ticket for the greaser and the other brake slammer car sped off.

also not one other person stopped to see if anyone needed help. way to go busy society


i was in an accident 20x worse in 2001. as in james bond movie car sliding, skidding, sparks, flipping and burning flames, and ending in explosions

luckily i walked away with only a head laceration and whiplash. if i can find those pics ill post them with the story. its really a miracle im still here

God damn. Everytime I see a car accident I get flashbacks to my most recent one. Glad your okay. I would have went to the hospital and gotten checked out. I had to get PT for 6 months and even now I don't feel the same.

man that does suck, glad you are good. I did a crazy ass 360 in the middle of a 3 lane freeway about 2 weeks ago, luckily no one got hurt, but that shit was crazy!
