Crap, I did one set of curls and accidentally put 6 inches on my arms.
I have a drink when I'm out to eat, which is about once a month now. It makes it really enjoyable, and something to look forward to. Sometimes I have a beer or two before band practice, but I try not to. Its too hot for that shit right now anyway...
Look at it like a treat or a reward or something. Get a good, heavy beer and enjoy the shit out of it.
Then back to water and flexing your nuts.
Josh is right. You don't have to cut out the crap you love completely, just make it a treat once and a while.
That sounds like a reasonable compromise.

It's next to impossible to stay on a strict diet 100% of the time. You need a reward here and there so you don't feel deprived.
That works less good the older you get. I am living proof. At some point the diet will have to be reined in.
