Also, as for the topic, while I have my personal misgivings about man-made global warming (Jupiter is going through a period of global warming right now, and last time I checked, they don't have any fucking cars), this is absurd on two counts:

1. Energy is too fucking expensive. With the exception of my AC (the one area in which I splurge), I try not to spend anything I don't have to.

2. Regardless of how you feel about global warming, the burning of fossil fuels is still bad in terms of pollution. And the contamination of our water and soil will be our undoing long before anything else. Believe it.

According to some astronomers Mars' ice caps are melting just the same as earth's. Also some of the ice moons of Jupiter and Saturn have begun to thaw as well. So how do you guys think SUV's are getting their emissions all the way over there? A greater mystery there is none.

I think we should all contribute to keeping the planet clean and green for a better life everyone can enjoy. But I don't believe for a second global warming is anything more than the sun being hotter now than it was 100 years ago, which has been well documented. But if it takes a concocted dilemma to get the general public to act then so be it -- let them have their lies.

Global warming is true. Our impact on it is what I call into question. I'm in the same boat as Drew on this one - the planet is just all around nicer when we take care of it and don't abuse its natural resources. It's a rational, logical conclusion to make better products and consume less for those reasons.

The people who are trying to organize this protest are just immature and probably have not even read up on the issue.

It's retarded to think that we can dramatically alter large sections of the Earth's surface, expend and release vast amounts of energy; and have no impact on the Earth; and the sun's brightness has not increased significantly in the past 200 years, nor has the Earth's precession or orbit.
