There was one a few years back as well (Phantasmagoria of Flower View, I think it was called) but this one looks more polished. Zun also made a game that played almost exactly like Super Star Sprites, and that turned out really good.
EDIT: The SSS clone was Phantasmagoria, I forget the name of the previous fighting game.

Examu has been picking up doujin developers left and right (they're publishing the arcade versions of Akatsuki Blitzkampf and Monster), but ZUN is obsessive-compulsive and has the typical artist's muse (iirc the main reason Tasofro stopped working on IaMP was because ZUN got extremely irritated with them adding Meiling in a later patch without his permission).Quote:
