So I have a television now... A CRT with composite inputs. Woo.
It came with a sweet purple spot. The built in degauss does nothing. I'm not buying shit, so don't suggest a degaussing wand. I halfway remember one of you guys talking about using an iron for degaussing. Is this possible?
apparently its been purple for ages... So its not from moving, or anything.

I worked at a TV repair shop before. I could probobly help you out for a couple thousand dollars.
Or you could get a magnet from WalMart and be done with it.
Actually a magnet fixed the TV I had before my HD one. Give it a shot.
Unless you know what you're doing a magnet is the worst idea ever on a CRT monitor.
