I had no idea that was Jack Bauer.
You lie. You were playing Gears, without a mic.
edit: Also, the single player mode has gotten a ton better. The flame tank was pretty fucking badass. And the last area and a half have had some pretty intense battles. The story isn't cohesive at all, but as long as the game stays as intense as it is now, two thumbs up.
Made it to level 11 on zombies with just me and my friend Luke playing. Felt good about that. My fault we fucked up, too. They took down the wall in the magic box room and I left it uncovered too long. A tip to people playing zombies is to not be shy with your grenades. They replenish every round and if you don't use them you're just wasting points.
Also take the fucking magnum if it comes up. It's essentially the ray gun with less ammo per clip (and in general). One hit kills and everything. I've found that if you open the back room, and then take the couch off of the back staircase there is a small room up there (the room by the front couch, but leave that shit covered up). You can camp with a decent team up there and go pretty far without trouble. 2 people with rayguns, someone covering the window. Hopefully someone has a magnum, or a browning too and you're ballin'.
And ditch the flame thrower at level 11. It doesn't do enough damage to warrant it after 9 or 10.
Yeah, stealth perks in this game, the hot shit. I never really used them in CoD4 but running around with a silenced sub machine gun and the not show up on enemy radar perk = wrecking fools. That and people who play in public games are TERRIBLE. Being able to go 20/10 consistently when I'm only a level 14 and have played the multi for maybe 3 hours total, very reminiscent of CoD4. I <3 it.
Dead silence was the best perk 3 in CoD4.
I don't know how I never used it. I always stuck with stopping power, deep impact, and the M16. I always wrecked people so I never had a desire to switch things up, but apparently I should have since not showing up on radar is amazing.
My clan has a slot reserved for a "stealth" class. I love not showing up on the map and locking down points in Domination with bettys and my silenced MP40. I'm havin' lots of fun with the game but I'm looking forward to some clans getting it together. Its alot more fun and challenging playing against guys that are organized. I'm sure it'lll pick up after Christmas.
Also, the FG44 with banlodier and Steady Aim is THE death gun in close-quarters maps like Dome. It took no time at all to rank it out.
Made it to level 17 today in zombies with only 2 guys playing. It was co-op split screen though so I don't know if it was ranked. Amazing. We came up with a strategy that just plain works. I'm confident with the right amount of luck (if everyone gets a browning or ray gun, or better) we can make it past level 23 with a full party.
This fucking game rocks!
