Activision should know that Treyarch sucks.
Activision knows that Treyarch makes Activision a fuckton of money.
Looking at the massive list of trash you guys have played, it's kind of hard to take those statements seriously. Not that you guys don't like good games as well, but come on.
And what weeman and others said brings up a point. Just a week or so ago, I remember reading that COD5 would not be out for at least another year to year and a half. It really does look as if this is just another attempt to milk the series. I'm not getting my hopes up, but if they could just keep the mp exactly the same as 4 but just incorporate the WWII setting and guns, then it wouldn't be a complete loss.
COD3 on Vet is the biggest pile of shit ever made in the universe.
It doesn't. But Activision might not care.
Unfortunately that's probably true.
Except it wasn't a success - critical yeah, but it went down in price faster than any other FF I've ever seen. FF fans brought up from FF7 want their cookie cutter rehashes just as much as FPS fans brought up on WW2 games want more of the same, only slightly different.
12 year olds? Seriously, other than kids who are maybe just entering high school, how many people grew up on WWII fps? Yeah, there are plenty of them throughout the gaming ages, but how many of them are any good? COD and COD2 are the only good WWII fps I've ever played. Games like Doom, Quake, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Halo, Unreal Tournament and even Time Splitters are more memorable to me than any of the other WWII fps games that I've played.
Also while the premise of the FF argument makes a good point, at least each FF game has a different story and universe. WWII is the same war, same guns, same sides in every game. I really like the history of WWII, but I am tires of playing the same damn battles over and over again with a different paint job. Time to move on. In fact, we have already moved on, so why are we going back?
