Yoshi's Twelve Steps

In the last two months, I have leveled a second Blood Elf to 70 and played no console games that weren't on the Wii.

The first step to solving your problem is to admit you have one.

P.S. I still kicked all the Canucks' asses is the hockey playoff challenge.

I am surprised that Yoshi would play another MMORPG. I can understand if it is the first one, you get addicted to it and it is awesome and it replace your chat program with pretty graphics and excel spreadsheet.

I will never play another one because the time commitment and level grinding involved just isn't worth it.

The reason I enjoy and talk about so many different games on TNL is because I avoid the MMORPG genre. The thought of paying monthly fees to chat and level grind doesn't appeal much to me.

That probably won't help Yoshi or others that like the genre, though.

funny thing is, people who play the mmo genre dont LIKE it, we play it. mmos are horrible games, even the ones i like like city of heroes, but there are little things about the customization, interaction and dynamic changing nature of them that makes us keep playing, even though when you look at the gameplay of them all, its downright insulting. thats kind of why i dont give yoshi a hard tiem for playing wow, despite how much he used to agree with me about how much it was nothing special. Outside of okami, guitar hero and now mass effect, witht he standard dalliances with modded oblivion, i have played nothing but mmos for well over a year...and as i said, i dont like them. so its kind of funny, i dont think yoshi or i woudl say we like mmos, but when you arent playing them, you miss some small elements.
