The game has been given a 'general' rating and is listed for a "Multi Platform" release. Capcom has two unannounced projects it plans to unveil at E3 2008, so this is likely to be one of them.
I've heard it might come directly to XBLA and PSN.
Wasn't there some MegaMan artwork with an ambiguous teaser floating around a while ago?

It's going to be published with a disc and case, then they should release it for all consoles. DL only should be XBLA, PSN, and WiiWare.
A side-scroller with some bitchin 2d/3d and 1080p would excite me more than a DS or Wii title so, yeah, XBLA or PSN please. Ignore my previous vote for DS or Wii thank you.

I have every game in the Mega Man and Mega Man X series. I will buy this if it comes out on Xbox Live Arcade.
I loved mega man 8 soooo much back in the day. But if this is anything but a DL game I'm going to pass. I just don't have any faith in capcom when it comes to mega man, not anymore anyway.
I have a lot of faith in Capcom when it comes to delivering a solid Mega Man game. The problem is that they spend too much time trying to make more complicated spin off series that just aren't necessary. I wouldn't buy another Mega Man X, Zero, ZX, Battle Network, Starforce fucking whatever...blah blah. If they can just make a straight up Mega Man game that only requires the player to move left/right, shoot the mega blaster, and platform hop...all against some beautiful 2-D backgrounds, then it will be all good.Quote:

Keep in mind, Megaman Legends was originally called Rockman Dash in Japan. That pic says Rockman, so it's a Jap pic, so it's not making any reference to the Legends series. It's just saying the little blue fucker is a legend.Quote:

Megaman and Astro Boy both have equal parts gold and crap! Astroboy going back in time and then deactivating and having to be destroyed when he returns to present time so that the present day Astro Boy can be activated is just as good as Megaman beating 6-8 robot masters and being saved by his rival before his rival is crushed to death. And that story where the grandfather turns out to be the locomotive's computer and he has to sacrifice his human body to save the kids? At least as good as when we found out Dr. Cossack was being controlled by Dr. Wily!

Eh, Capcom's VA work has improved quite a bit since the days of early PS1.
Hell, even by mid-PS1 they had their act pretty well together. Teasel and Tron FTW.

God I played the shit out of Megaman Legends back in the day. Didn't matter that the dungeons were crap, there were just so many secrets and cool little things to find that I was captivated.

They haven't been the shit since the NES.
There are some "ok" tracks, but nothing that touches Mega Man 2/3.
Except the title music for Megaman Battle Network.
