If this is a traditional 3-D fighter, then this is quite possibly the worst idea I've ever heard. If they somehow manage to make this like Powerstone 2, by making the player take part in some light platforming while fighting, then I might be able to tolerate this. It would actually be pretty cool to jump around through a Clock Tower type stage while fighting your enemies. If this is just a boring Soul Calibur clone though, I can't imagine myself purchasing it.
I highly doubt this game will be better than that fighter that featured the epic battle between Simon Belmont and Optimus Prime. The name escapes me..

CV Judgment needs to have a joystick control mode or it can GTFO. I can't stand the idea of playing a Soul Calibur type fighter with Wiimote and Nunchuck moves. This shouldn't have been given the CV name. Konami should instead have started a new franchise with the CV characters as guests.

considering Igarashi has said since day 1 that he wanted waggle whip controls in his next vania game, this isn't surprising. they probably spent a week deciding the gimmick wouldn't work in an actual 3-d action game and figured they could still shoehorn it into a fighting game. so this is what we get.

That would be like them saying, "Final Fantasy sells millions of copies as a RPG, so with 13 coming up, we should make the next official installment a puzzle game..."

I've never played TF so I can't speak about it. Playing decently doesn't mean tourament level play, but I've seen people who have never played halo before hop online and get some kills. You wont beat any masters obviously, but you can do all right. You can't do that with fighting games.
