The Rock Band 2 press release, which included the final set-list for the game, also mentions that Rock Band content from the discs will be transferable to the sequel, but for a price. The release states that "owners of the original Rock Band will have the ability to export most of the Rock Band disc tracks and upgrade them into Rock Band 2 gameplay-the first time ever in videogame history!" You will need to pay an unlocking fee to do so, which will be "under 5 dollars."

Do people really still care about modern Final Fantasy games? Enough to make any difference at all?
For that matter, does the Xbox have anything the PS3 doesn't have? From where I'm standing, the two systems look exactly the same except one costs more and the other breaks more.

So that game install feature if it means no more need for disks would actually save my 360, since my DVD drive is dying it seems. And for that I might just get a new hard drive, over priced though it is.

I was a little bit underwhelmed by the RE5 footage (though I guess it's about on-par with what I was expecting), and a bit disappointed in what we saw of Fallout 3... I'm a huge Fallout fan, and I really, really (really) want to like this new one... I'll buy it for the PC either way, but-- man, the combat doesn't look so hot to me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that one.

Just got a peek at SF4 live... holy shit the screenshots do NOT do this game justice. HD Remix was also present in their appt room area. Tried to smooth talk my way into getting a quick playthrough but the booth people were not hearing any of that.

Shame nothing was shown re: Infinite Undiscovery (or whatever the hell it is) and the new Star Ocean. Although it probably would have been cinema anyways.

Anyway, with FF13 cross platform, how long before MGS4 jumps? You have to figure it's not a question of IF anymore with a flagship franchise like FF on it now. They have to think overall numbers and the 360 so far is where it's at in the US (also Metal Gears stomping pad too). Unless SONY threw Konami a 3rd world country, I expect an announcement at some point (probably not at E3).
Indications are that FF XIII will remain exclusive to PS3 in Japan.
