I really don't see what the problem with the perspective is. It doesn't hinder the gameplay or anything.
This looks pretty cool, and the 2-player online co-op means I'll probably snag it day 1.

Absolutely. Day one for me too. Nice how you can switch to 2D/3D on the fly and reverse engineer the roms..pretty neat what these guys did but no word if the music will be remade. It'll be kinda tough playing the game with the new visuals but old music.
The boss in Ad's old video post is the exact same as the level 1 boss in Pulstar. What gives?
That's because Pulstar is a pretty blatant homage to R-Type
Even the levels look the same.
Like, the same.
Oh shit, new Lode Runner interview too.

220 levels across 8 game modes, plus a level editor? NICE.
Eh, why's everything gotta be a revolution? It's a faithful HD remake of two good games with widescreen support, online co-op, and leaderboards, and it'll probably cost $10. Sounds like a damn decent deal to me.
Especially when considering Super R-Type is half the game with none of those features and goes for $8 on VC.
Pulstar was basicly an unofficial 'R-Type IV', by AiCOM, who had some ex-Irem staff members when they made that NeoGeo game in the mid 90s.
I think it looks like ass.
Am I the only one?
Yep.
Nope. I'm less than impressed too.
