OK...so...this is a pretty damn serious thread, because I have been feeling severely distraught about my physical health over the last week. I normally don't go around posting about personal stuff like this, but I really just feel like I need some advice about this NOW...and there seems to be a wide variety of people from different backgrounds on this board. So, I figured I would bounce this off of you guys and see what you think.
My basic problem is that every time I lay down on my bed it feels like the whole room is spinning (like I'm really drunk...and I haven't had any alcohol in over two years), I wake up feeling like I'm going to throw up every day, and I feel dizzy and super tired throughout the day. I'm getting irritated, because I don't even feel like getting up and getting dressed in the morning. Even brushing my teeth makes me feel dizzy.
I went to the doctor a couple days ago, and she said that I might have something called BPPV which is some form of vertigo thats usually caused by an inner ear infection (I'm not sure how much I trust the diagnosis though, considering the fact that I don't have an ear infection at the moment). Has anybody ever heard of this or had this before? Its really making me miserable because I haven't been able to live my life like normal lately.
The doctor also ordered some tests yesterday, and so far all I've heard back is that my glucose level is in the borderline "high range", and I apparently don't have enough "good cholesterol" in my system....Men are supposed to have a HDL reading of at least 40 and my test read a 37. I'm not sure if this has any effect on my feeling of naseau and dizziness though? I'm still waiting to get the rest of my test results back.
I'm hoping that this really clears up in a couple days though because I was supposed to go to Yosemite on August 17th. Plus, if this lingers into September I doubt I will be able to go about my teaching duties like normal.
So, yeah, does anybody have any advice on how to deal with this? Has anybody experienced this before and found a way to get rid of it really quickly?
