I feel fortunate not to have anything wrong with me. I never even get fairly common things like migrains, canker sores, allergies, etc. I've lived in dorms where illnesses spread like wildfire, and work at a place where half the customers are sick and it's been about three years since I've had even a cold.

Something terrible is going to happen to me to make up for all the good health I've had though.

Schizophrenic-seeming episodes can be symptomatic of deep depression. It's more likely that - schizophrenia's not really the kind of thing you just have a suspicion you might have. Believe me, if you've got it it's hard to hide. I've got a cousin with it. He can be functional much of the time, but certain topics will just set him off (he thinks you killed your cat, he sees the apocalypse coming, etc.) and there's no real self awareness of it at the time.

I also had a relative dating a girl who was speaking to Egyptian gods and was always hearing her mother's head in her voice berating her. She was treated as a schizophrenic for years with little to no effect, spent time in a sanitarium. It was only once a real psychiatrist sat down and gave her some real attention (which oddly enough took several months, even in a mental health treatment centre) that he realized it was chronic depression of the blackest variety, treated her as such and quickly made her functional again.

I think there's variations of schizophrenia, bad for some and worse for others. I hear things, sometimes even frequently...subtle things, like my phone ringing or orders printing out at work and occassionally, I'm pretty sure I hear voices, almost like people talking right next to me. I think it's mostly due to hallucigen usage though.
