Smoking bans make sense, don't get me wrong but when a good percentage of the population smokes, I think it's going a little too far to abolish it in public completely. Like I said, offer tax breaks to establishments that ban smoking and give people a choice of where they want to go.
Wrong. Fuck it. Go outside.
Yeah, public health hazard vs. less drinks sold. Go outside.
Fuck public health, if people have a choice between smoking and non-smoking (establishments, not sections) then what's the big deal? Our culture seems to think that we're all on a high-horse for eliminating smoking though we leave so many other bad habits unchecked.
Maybe we should start worrying about the growing levels of pharmaceuticals in the water or abolishing nuclear weapons instead of getting rid of smoking in public places in places where everyone wants to smoke.

Rest easy! It won't apply to most bars. If their food sales make up 20% or less of the money they pull in, they can still allow smoking. Though the ban is in the minds of many already. When I went to my favorite diner at home, I noticed no one was smoking, even though it's not in effect yet. And call me crazy, but as someone who wasn't smoking, it was... kinda nice. Never thought I'd be saying it.
