Ah, I know what it is now, just never knew of it by name. I'm not big on beef and most Italian my family likes is beefy, so I guess I'm not familiar with very much. My nana just sent me an Italian cook book so I should maybe try some of those. One of the apple/lemon cake things looked amazing.
nomi, i make this chicken dish allll the time. annebonny seems to love it. (if ive already posted it sorry but its so easy!)
cube up some chicken breasts and sautee in olive oil with garlic, cayenne and crushed red pepper. remove from heat, sautee some corn (i use a can but frozen works great too), a can of black beans (drained) and sliced red bell peppers in the same oil mixture (may need to add some more garlic and spices though) mix the chicken back in. so easy. sometimes i top with some pepper jack cheese or chunks of avocado.
I have this which functions as a great rice cooker, a deep fryer, a slow cooker or whatever else you could possibly want.
Obviously it doesn't function like a rice cooker where you push a button or whatever and it cooks the rice, but it works very, very well.
does anyone know of a good alternative to using butter to cook meat in a pan? Butter works just awesome and so far everything I've tried to replace it kind of sucks.
Oil?
Olive oil, vegetable oil, lard.
You should fry up some bacon then cook the meat in the bacon fat. Then you should top the meat with the bacon.
