We use flowers all the time.
I used some tonight. Tossed some angel hair pasta with chopped basil, olive oil, fresh garlic, a roasted red pepper, and leftover chopped corned beef. It all worked together surprisingly well.

Awesome stuff, lately(tis the season) I have been foraging for Dandelions as well, they are at their best this time of year over here.
