Okay, I got a nice casserole dish for Christmas, I've never cooked in one before. Gimme some ideas!
Also my boyfriend got an entire ham (uncooked) for Christmas. I've never cooked ham before. Suggestions, recipes, etc?
Vegetable Casserole
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
1 stick melted butter/margarine
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (another)
Cook and drain the frozen vegetables. Mix them with the mayonnaise, onions, celery, and cheese. Put in buttered casserole dish (or a 13 x 9 pan works). Mix the crackers, butter and cheese together and spread over the top of the vegetables. Cook for 45 minutes at 300 degrees.
EDIT: By the way, you serve this with the ham. I suggest broiling it.
My mom got me a bread machine for Christmas. This is good, because I consider bread making voodoo magic. What are some favorite recipes among the TNL crowd?
I used this exact recipe except I used the canned fried onions. It was waay better than the canned soup one, people were asking me how I made it all night.Quote:

We went to a cider mill in late October, and I got some local awesome honey. Been waiting for a day off to make challah with it. OH MAN, so good this time. I didn't overdo it like my last loaf.

In anticipation of baking lots of bread in the near future, I bought another bag of flour and a jar of yeast. Fresh bread is so awesome, especially when I only have to measure a few things and press a few buttons.
Oh man I wish I had a bread machine. That would be fantastic. This stuff takes all day.
