LOL, me too.

I read this at work when I didn't want to do my work and still wanted to get paid. And this line really made me mad:
Who the fuck puts WATER in whiskey? Maybe it's because I'm Irish Canadian but that is blasphemy. Drink vodka or some other lighter tasting, more adaptive drink if you're going to do that you dickless bastard. Coke is fine, too.Quote:

The fact is that growing up and spreading your wings today is harder. (internships eating up entry level jobs, everyone having a high education, companies not paying fair starting wages to make life livable, women also competing with men much more vigorously in the market) I don't look down on anybody else just because I've been fortunate enough to save up a good amount of dough and move on with my life.
But you know what? I still drink with my friends, play rock band until 3 in the morning until we want something to eat and walk to the 24 grocery store down the road for Wings, Pizza or/and Chips. I still have bon fires on the lakeshore and I still watch shows I enjoy like Dexter and The Office. Hell I'd watch cartoons if I was still in to them. Why do I need to apologize to you? I'm never going to, so get over it. Because that's fun, and I find not letting go of things you love to be infinitely more wise than people who grow up and become boring, "Nice weather we've having today, Jim!" people.
Everyone around me tells me I'm mature for my age (24) because I have a lot of things people my age don't. When I went in to the banker she told me it was "refreshing" to see a young person so focused. But you know what? This is me. I like being focused and planning businesses and working like a dog and feeling that kind of accomplishment. Other people feel the same way about hitting a guitar solo, playing in front of a live audience, or writing an article.
Don't settle for Walmart if it's not your cup. Fuck this know-it-all sack of condescending shit. If you aren't happy bust your ass to change it. And hey, it's sink or swim for everyone, eventually. This is a free market after all.
that's the best drew post ever.
People say that after almost all of my posts.
I have a friend (24) who is so bad with money, it's frightening. Put himself in debt with a credit card when he was 18 and has been trying to claw out of the pit since.
Hey, I'm not saying guys aren't fucking up. But it's not like women don't have just as much if not more debt than men. So why just pick on the guys? Because he's bragging. That entire article is a fucking romance letter to his fiance, and a holier-than-thou rah-rah chant about how much better he is than the average man. There's only one thing that could make this article any more gay and that's a picture of him wearing a scarf while writing it.
There is a hell of a lot more going on with 'the divorce rate' than this stuff. Most of it has to due with the fact that marriage in this country is now a more personal, selfish thing than it has ever been. People aren't happy, they divorce. Unhappy people couldn't divorce so easily as recent as a generation ago.
I still think people get married too young, though. Get your shit together before you drag someone else into it. And the $20,000 college debt is funny to me. That's not even 2 years at a public state university in Ohio :-/
Internships are thankfully becoming more mandatory at universities for many programs. At the very least, you see what you might be getting into, and have one solid business reference for when you go out after graduating.
