I said the same thing today at work. I guess he figures people have short memories.

The problem with Canadian politics is that in many ways it's even lazier than America's. People will seemingly forgive any transgressions over a short period of time, and then elect the official to office again.
That's why I'll never understand how Error can look at Harper and say he doesn't like the man, so he's voting Liberal. But when you look at the bare bones policies and results of Harper (lower GST, family baby fund, tax free savings accounts, no fiscal debt, etc.) he's not doing a poor job. He's definitely not the nicest guy in office. That's for sure. But you need to be able to do this country good beyond your personality, too.
Look, I voted Liberal not becuase I wanted Dion to win, I knew that wasn't going to happen. I just don't want Harper to have a majority. I'm sorry I just don't trust him and his yahoo cowboy Reform friends. I don't. I can't trust a government when nobody is allowed to talk because the leader is afraid what they say will lose him an election. Does that make sense? In previous years I may have voted for the NDP as a protest if I thought the government was going to win again, but knowing the left vote was going to be split and that the Tories were likely to win a minority just like before, I chose to do my best to ensure that it was a minority.
