Zebbe mentioned on Sega-16 that there are extra copies of the standard edition available, and the website now says "order now."
It's sold out in all regions according to the bottom part of the order form.
That's pretty stupid then, to let you access and fill out an order form for a game that's no longer available.
I can't wait to hear the music for this game. It uses the Sega CD for the score while the game plays on the cart, but I want to hear the stock Genesis music.
For anyone thinking the Genesis isn't capable of good sound, check out this video by a member of my forum. This is what the stock model 1 Genesis is capable of with a simple audio mod.
That's amazing. I wonder how much processing power (not to mention the amount of memory) that takes. Can it be done during gameplay, or is it like some of the crazier Amiga audio engines that could do 7 voices but only when the processor wasn't trying to do anything else like on title screens or credit rolls?
Personally, though, I like Genesis music that goes nuts with the FM synth rather than trying to sample everything like the SNES. Like this:
