man, 15 on steam, that is tempting.

But being a die hard gen and sega cd fan, I'm really temped to pay stupid money to play this on the ye ole sega gen

It's bad. There's something seriously wrong when the town designs are so convoluted that it's harder to find the stores than to navigate the dungeons.

I've got a cart from their first reprint with less than 2 hours play on it. It's in my "to sell but too lazy to create a thread pile" along with the SMS games I spoke of in the other thread.

Seconded. It was really cool for the first couple hours, but the balancing is totally fucked later on (monsters will often get several turns each before you ever get a chance to attack) and every encounter is a complete slog. I wanted to like this game in the worst way, but I'm too old to be forcing myself through games that irritate me.

Save your money and get Trails in the Sky instead.

I'm surprised you found out about this so late in the day. It's been out for awhile and it's gotten rave reviews from many classic retro fans. I was able to aquire a 2nd print release along with the official soundtrack. I already put money down for the strat guide because I love having em.

This makes me sad, I was going to get it on One or Wii U. Oh well.
