Sliders

So I'm at my local video store renting the next boxset of the Sopranos (this place is great 2 dollars 5 days for an entire boxset!) And I look up a shelf and Sliders is sitting there before me. When Sliders first came on it was my favorite show. Was very pissed when they canceled, but got happy when I heard that season 2 was coming. So I rented it and it just as I remembered it. I loved the thought that every episode was a new earth with different quirks about it. My favorite episode would prolly have to be the "Lottery" episode where Wade wins the lottery is giving all her wishes and then Is forced to kill herself. Right now I'm watching Season 3. Didn't watch 4-5 when they were shown on the Sci Fi channel. I didn't really care about the Kromaggs tho I'll watch it now. If you've never watched or haven't seen it in along time you should rent it or something it is a really good sci fi show.

I remember it being great but then falling into the shitter. If I remember it right they got to make a final proper episode. They get back to the correct Earth, but see a newspaper about OJ being on trial for murder. And the squeaky gate that is always squeaky doesn't squeak at the dudes home so they think it's not the right dimension and take off when the portal opens a few minutes later.

Sad really.

I used to be a fan of this show. But then I recall some casting changes or something and it becoming less enjoyable. I don't know, I haven't seen it in years.

The show was awesome until half way through the 3rd season when John Rhys-Davies left the cast. Then it was half-decent until the end of the 4th season when Jerry O'Connell left. And if I remember correctly it was complete garbage for the 5th season.

Nailed it.

I wish that the show could come back, but with the attitude it had in the early years where they just went from earth to earth seeing different ones and trying to get back home.

i loved this show. i own the box set. one of my fav. i remember when they came back into their right dimension only to leave because the gate door didn't creak. i was sad.

Yeah, the first two seasons are awesome. I should give it a rent.

Fuck season 5 of this show.

I stopped watching it after it left Fox's airwaves, since I didn't have cable at the time. I watched a little bit of the later seasons eventually and was disappointed.

I have to say the premise of this show was one of the best ever. It's like every episode is a "what if" episode. You'd never run out of ideas if you were creative.
