so youd rather wait, possibly lose more money, and have to physically move and deal with people, when you can instead call, say "i got money missing" and then get it credited back into your account instantly and be over it as the bank runs in circles trying to get THEIR money back?

Call the number to establish a problem has occurred. Then follow it up and resolve it in person. It helps your case, I would think, by calling immediately because it shows you are a bit panicked about the situation.
Not calling as soon as you find out is basically retarded.
