Thanks, though I can't take credit for it. I found it on a fan site and just had to use it :)Quote:

Oh well, still funny. Even if it is an on-loan funny.
Back on topic, Rare can do whatever they like one way or the other, but I wish they'd just hurry up and get it over with.
Hah, an on-load funny. Anyway, I agree, if Rare isn't sleeping with Nintendo anymore, I don't think 4 year development times are going to float :p
i dont know this rumor has been floating around for a long time
not that i really care about Rare games but ill take the ill beleive it when i see it approach
My God. Someone actually watched that film? I stopped the instant I found that Molly wasn't in it. :mad:Quote:
It was pretty crazy in Johnny Mnemonic.
Well I imagine the rumors are ture, I mean Nintendo and Rare have been butting heads for months now. But I think its has to do more with Rare getting upset at Nintendo for getting all hot and bothered over the games they are supposed to be making taking an extremely long ass time, plus people are leaving Rare like crazy. I bet Nintendo does not even want Rare around any more. I like a lot of Rares games, some were real stinkers though (Donkey Kong 64, and I am not a fan of PD, but thats do to PD being to ambitious for the N64). But Rare seems like they are like those strung out heroin actors you see in movies that keep trying to get their act together and get all sorts of help from people but end up back on heroin and the people who were helping them just give up on them and kick them out. I think Rare is now just trying to find new dealers. Oh well. I just want some sequals to their old NES games, like Captain Skyhawk or R.C. Pro Am, and it would be intresting to see what a 3D Next Gen sequal to Snake Rattel and Roll could be like. But a Conker sequal on Xbox will do just fine I guess.
I stopped myself from watching it when I found out a fucking dolphin wound up pretty much saving the world. I don't care how well it was written, when flipper's fucking sixth cousin in the future saves the workd in a sci fi movie, you and everyone else involved in the movie shoud have your testicles bashed to prevent future generations from unleashing similar monstrosities.
Lordmrw: The dolphin saves the world? Damn, they took that story to hell. I'm not sure how many have actually read the short story, but it's damn good. And while there was a dolphin in the story, he hardly had a role in "saving the world". I do know one thing, however... Gibson himself had originally written the script, only to find that Sony dumped it at the last minute in favor of a crappy, big-budget save-the-world script.
So, the story doesn't even resemble the movie. *plug!* Everyone who's reading this post: Go out and buy Burning Chrome, a collection of Gibson's short stories. You'll end up a better person. :D
I really cared about this a few months ago, but recently I began thinking about how many good games Rare really has made.
Conkers: A decent platformer. Really more about swearing than gameplay.
PD: Fun, but actually worse than Goldeneye somehow. Used to be the best console FPS engine.
Banjo and Kazooie/Tooie/Patooie: Never played.
Donkey Kong 64: I liked it, no one else did.
Goldeneye: GOD. Also 6 years ago.
That's really about it. The moral of the story is that as many have pointed out, Rare is highly overrated, and besides, the PS2 and Xbox don't have nearly enough "rumored" or "in development" titles.
I guess this is great news for Conker fans and a kick in the head to Perfect Dark fans. Since Conker is one of the few Rare games I've liked in recent years..... good news for me.
I still gotta' feel sorry for Perfect Dark fans. As much as I dislike Rare, I hate the PS2 even more. I wouldn't wish that interlace-inducing hardware on anybody. Hey, Sony, GET A PROGRESSIVE SCAN MODE!
edit: Wow, that was random and out of place. It's hard to keep that PS2 venom in check sometimes.;)
