More flexible surroundings? Who, besides nintendo, would put up with rare's shit? Every big game they make takes them atleast 3 years, and costs millions to make. And after seeing how good Star Fox Adventures looks, why would they want to downgrade to the PS2? I don't hate Rare, but most of what they make is hardly special. Only rumored/announced GC games I cared about from them were SFA and Conker 2. Maybe new Banjo if they do something interesting... Still... nothing to get worked up about, I say good riddence to Rare, Nintendo doesn't need 'em.
Just a side note, I find it interesting that some Nintendo fans are worried, yet only in the 32/64 gen was Rare a 2nd party... they've been 3rd party for most their existance, this is just returning to it.

They put out a damn fun, unique, and challenging game, that actually tried something different in Blast Corps, the fact that you never bothered to try it sure as hell ins't their fault.

I read plenty of reviews, analyzed what the game was about and what you did (ignored the opinions), looked at the screens, and it wasn't worth my time.
