FX has ordered a 13-episode third season for its biker hit "Sons of Anarchy".

Tuesday's 90-minute season two finale was cable's number-one program for the night, delivering 4.3 million total viewers and three million in the key 18-49 demographic, while it beat all three broadcast networks in the male half of that key demo.

Showrunner Kurt Sutter has signed on for a two year extension to his deal to continue in his role, while all series regulars are in place to return next season. The third season will premiere in September 2010.

Great news. I had no doubt that the show would see another season. Best show on television by far right now in my book.

Fuckin' awesome news. Though I didn't FX was still up in the air on whether or not they were gonna bring it back. This season has been fuckin' bangin'. Glad to see it's getting it's due.

Fun Fact: According to IMDB Kurt Sutter has a fear of dolls. Which is why Tig does too lol.

As long as this season's as good as the last I'm willing to wait.

Not really related, but anyone know when Rescue Me is coming back? That will help pass the time until next Sons season, if it does air before. Actually, the only reason I decided to actually check out Sons was because Rescue Me finished and I needed something else to watch on Tuesday nights. Just to clarify, I think Sons is sooo much better than Rescue Me.

Lots of info there. Surprise on this one: (Half-Sack) is indeed dead. Johnny Lewis simply wanted out of his contract and Sutter obliged him.

I guess that's as good a reason as any, sad to see him go though.

Sad to see him go. Wonder why he wanted out. He was a really likable character and was a part of a great show, but I guess if he didn't like it, no reason for him to keep doing it.

Shit has been good so far. I've been waiting far too long for this.
