A bad piece of luck.

Last night, I went to turn on the spigot in the front of my house to water the lawn, and no water came out. Thinking this odd, I tried one more time, then tried unsuccessfully to figure out why no water was coming out. Upon entering my bedroom, I realized why. A pipe had frozen and cracked during the winter, and so water had begun to pour out of my light fixture. As bad as that fact is alone, my 19" tv, VCR, precious modded PSX, and newly purchased Saturn just so happened to be underneath the fixture. I'm waiting for everything to dry out before I test it, but of all the shitty things to happen...

I just wanted to vent.

Well, Just let them dry for a while. They should be fine.

I had my appartment showered by thunderstorm 2 times, when I used to live as 19 story high appartment building. I was at work, and had windows open, and then this big thunderstorm came through. When I got home, in one room, my reciever, my PSX, and my vcr were full of water, and same was in my bedroom with my stereo and printer :)

Had to keep them drying for 2 days, but they still work now. Receiver and PSX anyway :)

Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear. Just let everything dry out thoroughly before testing it out and it hopefully should work fine.

And if the PSX doesn't work I'll send you mine if I can find it. I put it away somewhere when I got my PS2, I just forgot where.

I'm going to plug everything in here in a couple of hours, barring that Juanny spands his allowance to have a hitman end my life. I'll keep everyone posted, and thanks for the concern.

Hopefully there's no damage. As long as the water dries out completely, then there should be no harm, right?

if u kinda know what u are doing i suggest pulling everything apart and using a blow dryer to dry it. and let it sit for a few days to get the moisture out

Everything actually works fine. The TV and PSX surprised me the most, since they'd gotten the brunt of it, and the TV is an old crap RCA. It survived though, I just gave everything an extra day and a half to dry in the sun before trying them. Thanks for the tips and the sympathy, and thanks for the offer Piku. Very cool of you.
