Thanks to the awesome folks at VNES we've discovered our next challenge!

Hit up THIS LINK and get ready for some old school POPEYE greatness*. After you're used to this classic and how it plays, bust your ass and get the best score possible. Once you're satisfied, screenshot it and post in here to let us know and we'll add you to the list.

You guys have 7 days starting from TODAY (Thursday) to get your highest score posted. Afterwards we'll tally it up and the winner will get a context sensitive prize sent (Popeye comics, some old figures, or something of that nature) to their home courtesy of the staff at Pimp-Productions!

*You'll most likely need to install the JRE applet/plugin so this thing will work, but there's no worries - it's a safe DL and all these classics (which we'll be running multiple challenges on down the road) are worth the small time invested with the install.

Secondary Note: Rich, who won the OT challenge should be receiving his prize sometime soon, as it was mailed out a few days ago. :D

Game A or B?

I love Popeye.

I haven't played this much since I was a kid. I'll give this a shot at work this evening.

I think it'd be best if we went for GAME A, as you'd only be giving yourself more of a personal challenge by going with GAME B.

We've got 3 different forums once again partaking in this challenge (which means, just like last time we'll probably have 5-7 guys that actually join in), so hopefully the turnout's a bit better.

And the first score comes in - which belongs to ME (I can't win any of these contests, but I'll be damned if I can't have fun tossing up a basic score for people to aim at):
