what's your thang?

well, of course every one on the boards know's that metal gear solid 2 is zidane747's thing and all, but i was just wondering what every one else was really into. it doesn't have to be something you're really crazy about, just something you get allot of enjoyment out of. whether it be a certain genre or just one game. well, for me it's mega man and dragon quest/warrior. i've loved all the mega man game's since the first 1. though x6 really pissed me off, i'll still play these games 'till i'm old an' grey. as for dragon quest....well, i just have a soft spot in my heart for this series. i didn't play dragon warrior 1 'till my junior year back in high school ('96) so i started kind of late, but since then i've tracked down most of the games that came out in the states just to play'em. i've only beaten part 2 though (that was a LLLLOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNG summer). i'm still trudgin' my way though part 7.....it'll never end. so, what about you guys?

Somehow, anything with Sega and Monkeys takes over me and demands I play it, for long periods of time, even if they frustrate me into wanting to throw a GC controller across the room :D

VOOT and the Sakura Taisen series come in a close second and Shooters fit in somewhere between the monkeys and VOOT.

currently, back on the Sega Saturn shmuping trip...just picked up Metal Black, Skull Fang, and Twin Bee Deluxe Pack....my collection is nearing completion. hahahaha!!!

DDR games
Vertical shmups
Horizontal run n' guns

Well, Just like Zidane is known for his MGS2 love, I've been known as DMC and Shadow Hearts fanatic :)

My thang is action/horror games - DMC, RE, Onimusha, Silent Hill, MGS, Syphon Filter and so many other ones.

I also like rpgs, but lately, I dont have much time for those anymore :(

Well my thang would most definately be Final Fantasy, I can't seem to get enough of things that are Final Fantasy... my collection is sick, really sick ;)

I am also a big Squaresoft fan, but I have been so since before they where so big a company.

I play mostly RPG's but am starting to get more into strategy RPG's, I play almost any type of game though as long as it is fun :)

Grandia and Sakura Taisen.

Even have the Gameboy Color versions of those games. Though after recent events of both series, I'm not sure if I have faith in them anymore...

I have a "thang" for the Wild Arms series. Love em to death and wished they would get more recognition. I like adventure games the most, barely edging out rpgs for the top slot.

i of course love the Lunar games and Stacey Keibler in the same way Zidane loves MGS2.

i used to play RPG's and destroy any one that i played but since im in my last year of college i dont have as much free time and thus my passion has turned more towards racing games. since there's no good arcades around me whenever i go somewhere and see a setup ive never played before i get all gooey. i remember the first time i played Daytona link up at the Toronto Playdium. when im at home i love fast racing games with rockin soundtracks. just getting in that mental state with your car (or craft ala wipeout/eg) is bliss to me.

i also have a sick love for the Resident Evil series and anything sega cd/32x (especially night trap).
