Exactly. It's probably Jacque Lemaire, given what he can squeeze out of limited talent. Also, the league changed about 700 rules to try to stop his system, and it had only limited success.

Mike Keenan also comes to mind, but he's ruined more teams than he's made successful.

Malkin does and doesn't have to act like scoring a goal is something only he can do.

And he won't win the MVP and shouldn't. I don't even think Malkin will make the final 3.

For the record, I think he's a great player. This just isn't his year, and Crosby will fuck up his MVP chances for the foreseeable future.

The three finalists should be Ovechkin, Parise, and Thomas, assuming the Bruins don't collapse anymore down the stretch.

Malkin carrying the Penguins for two weeks while Crosby was out isn't quite the same as Parise carrying the Devils for 50 while Brodeur was out.
