I know where you're coming from, but statistically they had roughly equal years and Tikkanen was only good for THAT year and every year after was a non-factor for a host of teams. Trading a year for a 15 year career isn't worth it, IMHO, and the Rangers suffered for a decade because of giving up on guys like Weight and Amonte. We'll never know if they would've won the Cup without Esa or with Weight. We do know what happened the 15 years since then.

Lundqvist made a good high save on Comrie on this PK. He's got stupid tall shoulders so you've got to get angle on his shoulders to put it past him from there..when you're in close it's tough.

Tambellini really blew it seconds later...had the net gaping for him.

At this rate (the last couple minutes) we might see another 50+ shot night for the Isles, probably with fewer goals. LOL. Seriously though they didn't get that many in the first period though... so they'll probably end up with about 35.

I'm very interested in the Wild this year. They look legit and I think they can swing a much deeper run this year. They made some good moves.

Looks like the Rangers have pretty much closed it out now. gonna watch the wild game full time.

Chicago is fun to watch. If nothing else, at least Dyne will be entertained this year. They had two 'hawks on a VS commercial and they look like they would have a tough time getting a date at a junior high school. Holy shit do those two (Kane and Havlat?) look young.
