Ticketmaster what the HELL

So I've been away at college in beautiful Pullman, Washington (read: middle of nowhere) for the past few years and I haven't had the opportunity to go to many shows in that time. Well, now that I'm back in Seattle, I've started going to more, and usually the shows I'm interested in will offer tickets through a website other than ticketmaster. Now I'm looking to see Cut Copy and The Presets on Wednesday night, and seeing as how the show will probably sell out, and I can't get to seattle to buy tickets at the venue, I must purchase through ticketmaster.

Begrudgingly I went through the order form, anticipating a service charge that would probably be at least an extra 1/3 of what the tickets originally cost. Big surprise, now there are even MORE charges!!

How the FUCK can ticketmaster justify these absurd prices???? This is almost twice as much as tickets originally cost! Not to mention that there are ADDITIONAL fees if you choose to print your tickets (what the fuck?) or get them mailed to you (understandable, but absurd price). I called them up to ask just what the fuck these charges were for. I was told convenience charge was because I didn't have to go to the venue and purchase the tickets. Whatever, fuck you. Order processing $5.36 just as the title suggest. Eat a bag of dicks. What if every online retailer charged you $5 just for using them? Fuck that. Now I get to miss out on two bands I love because of my hatred for one of the scummiest companies on the planet.

I guess you either need to get a better job so stuff like this doesn't cause you a burst blood vessel or you need to buy tickets at the venue.

Yeah, the box office ought to have a window to sell tickets available. But ticketmaster really is total horseshit.

I got preseason Devs tix off of stubhub which were 6 bucks each and paid a 1 dollar commission (based on price of my purchase, which is understandable) and a 10 dollar charge to e-mail them to me, and I bought them day-of. Not horrible, way cheaper than box office.

I then wondered...they charged 10 dollars for "super last minute e-mail print service fee." Hmm...does that mean that if I buy in super advance I only have to pay commission and print my e-mailed tickets for free?

No, no it doesn't. The service charge/mailing charge costs way more than ten dollars. Buying last minute was cheaper. I really wish some company gets involved in this and lays off the silly charges. It's not like it's super hard to reroute some tickets to a new buyer via e-mail, even if it costs a lot to maintain a staff of support people.
