We're Jewish.
You killed Jesus.
We're also christian. I decorated my tree two days ago. And tonight we lit the Menorah.
Are you guys moving around or staying in one spot? I'm not sure whether I'll be there at 9:30 or later.
so txt
You answer texts days later. It'll defeat the purpose.
i answer them quick when i want to or am expecting them
You're full of shit.
Sorry I had to duck out early, but it was good to see everyone. If I hadn't had a long day already I'd have pulled the all nighter and caught the morning train.
I'm glad you made it home. I guess the L train was running after all.
It was good times, but seriously fuck the cold.
i have less of a voice than i did yesterday
I don't think that's possible.
Thanks again for getting my ass on the right subway last night, Burg.
It was very cool seeing everyone again.
Hope everyone had a good time. I'll make it up again sometime soon.
We should start planning a late spring/early summer meetup (April/May?) in the coming weeks. I'll be flying out again and hopefully I'll be able to stay for an entire week or so.
Also: dibs on Mezz's couch.
so do I
I've lived in NY my entire life and never been to NYC, and I'm pissed that I had to miss the last get together. Hopefully by the time April/May comes around I'd be able to do this, and would be totally willing. This should happen. I want to meet someone from TNL besides K3V (gay) and SSJN (hold your hand in line for Mamma Mia gay).
It's going in your butt if you don't watch it.
Also: Yankees game at the new stadium will be required.
You shut your mouth, that game was awesome.
Haha, more like I agreed to a K3V and Pineapple buttplay love session.
Yeah, it was fun seeing you guys again before I head to Redmond. Don't know when I'll be back in NYC in 2009 though.
That was the most retarded thing ever. Whose idea was it to do that stupid shit, anyway? I'm going to smack them in the mouth.
And all just to meet Bahn. wtf.
yeah holy crap guys. that story actually made me want to be at a yankees game.
I'm not sure ether, but whoever it was Kept On Following the road to Chinatown.
I think it was aMEZZing that you guys would walk all that way.
 Listen to all you nancies! OMG it was too hot! I think all the crying Ramon did that day has sank into your subconscious.
To be fair, I did have alot of responsibilty to keep people entertained and doing stuff and getting people where they needed to be. But you are right, continuing on with that walk was the biggest failure of the event. I really should have just gotten on the subway. But, it built character and gives us something to remenice about six months afterwards.
It was the only hiccup of the whole thing.
Yeah other than that it was pretty much perfect. I'm going to drive to New York sometime this year so if there's a get together in spring or something I"ll try to make it.
No worries, Mezz. You're the man.
Even though the walk sucked. It was a growing experience. Everyone who did the walk learned a little something about each other.
You slant-eyes sure do stick together.
And no one should be getting on Mezz's ass about that walk. For a guy who posts so little, he does more for the NY get-togethers than the rest of us combined.
Did I ever once mention Mezz? It wasn't his idea to walk to fucking Chinatown, it was KoF's.
You lose.
I take full responsibility for the death march and I am still laughing at all you people for following my shitty orders.
I take responsibility for mistakenly blaming Mezz - I was enjoying a Yankees game with Netwurked, Rhydant and Burg while you were all partaking in the leisurely 30 mile stroll in 90 degree temperatures so I wasn't sure exactly who was responsible. STEVENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Yeah. My original plan was just to meet up with you all down in Union Square for breakfast/lunch. Though when I got stuck in traffic and heard the party would eventually meet up in CF, I figured I'd see you all when I see you.
Walking from Union Square to CF can be draining (especially if it's not planned).
In any case, Mezz organized an awesome gathering that month.
Oh boo hoo. I can tell none of you play sports.
lol bullshit.
Fellowship of the Whine was an awesome experience, we need to top it with a Siberian Walk of Death in Buffalo in January or something.
So how far did you Nancies walk anyway, like ten blocks?
I think it was like 30 or more.
How much does that translate to in miles?
About a quarter of a mile...roughly.
LOL. Perfect.
Last time I was in NYC one day I walked from 48th Street to 80th street and back plus about 5 blocks over, with my son. Then that same night walked from 48th to Lincoln Center and back. What a bunch of girls you all are.
I regularly walked from the Kinokuniya on 49th to Thailand Café down on 2nd and St. Marks, and then i'd walk to Sunshine Cinemas down on Houston, between 2nd and 1st. And then if i felt like it, i'd walk up to Forbidden Planet, and then to Yu-nee-un Square, my wheel needs repair to catch the subway to Jamaica and walk another 8 blocks back to the closest place i could park my car and wasn't afraid of my shit getting stolen by Ashen Victor.
Ya'll's a bunch of lazies. I bet you all have big butts and soft hands.
what are we talking about anyway.
Why would you walk when the subway goes everywhere and costs like $2?
why are all you dinnermashers still talking about walking
This. I plan on taking a day or two during the week when nothing is going on (assuming that I can arrange it all) and exploring the city all by my lonesome. I wanted to do this last time but then all of a sudden there were a million TNLers and we all wanted to drink. Nice.
Bahn was kidding. It's about 2 miles, I think. Maybe 2.5 if there was some lateral movement. Long walk, not ridiculous, but uncomfortable in the scorching heat. I've done it, but only at night.
Let's make the next get together in mid-spring please, like April so it's not ridiculously hot.
To be fair, it was about 3.7 miles on one of the hottest day of the year.
Also, keeping 12 people together on the busy streets of SoHo is a bit more work than it might seem like. It was hot, but we made it, and made the drinks at the beer garden all the better. I certainly did not complain about it, as I'm used it, but I just felt bad for the people that weren't.
OK, we can stop talking about this now. It was six months ago, it was hot, we survived, but we had a good time.
3.7 Miles is a bit of a walk and certainly not a refreshing experience in the sun, but still...
90 degrees and 100 percent humidity.
i really wanna go to one of these, and since timber doesn't work he is going to need to know as much in advance as possible so he can start saving his pennies
Tell him to start saving now, I'm sure there will be a meet up near/around when he has enough saved.
Seriously, it's not like the NYC get togethers are unique events. There's always going to be one within a few months time.
Damn stright.
coolness, i will lay the law down on him
I'll probably miss a couple of 2009 TNL NYC Meet-ups since I probably won't be back in the city until the next winter break. I can guarantee that there will be one in December 2009.
I'm not going to show up.
It's already working.
