Zelda Skyward Sword Official

This game keeps getting worse. It's very front-loaded on awesome, but the story bits keep pulling me along. Half of the objectives are obvious filler, like "go through this part except this time there are mildly tougher enemies and you might have to fulfill a shitty objective. No, go alllllll the way through this part. Nope, ALLLL the way.". The third fight against that big scaly thing was AWESOME and the first two were kind of stupid. The dragons are great, but the FUCKING FARON SONG SHIT is so shitting shitty. This game is full of parts where i go, "Well, this wasn't THAT bad", and this really isn't a game where i should be saying stuff like that. Zelda, stop it. You're awful at being Banjo Kazooie.

Nintendo is releasing a 275 page artbook for Zelda's 25th (nothing for Metroid....dicks). The covers the history of the series and apparently hammers out whole timeline thing that really no one cares about it. And it's currently Japan only:

Finally beat the first fire temple! A bat dropped a monster claw like 10 hours into the game. After a million dead bats. Is it sectioned off somehow or am I really unlucky when it comes to these drops?

There were gratitude stones just lying around Skypeia or whatever the town is called in the middle of the night. I bet some dude was really grateful for a handy behind the tree.

You'll get more later, when you get the badges to increase your chances of getting items. By the end i had way too many of every item ever except the tumbleweed.

I found a badge for monster drops in a chest that lit up when I charged my sword and slashed the beam at a block? Does anyone else think that's REALLY weird?

The goddess put them there for you to find!

There's a better one: you get it from Uncle Bats when you get enough gratitude crystals. You can't use your shield or anything in your pouch sack though.

If you REALLY need monster claws, equip the treasure medal and go into the cave at the base of the waterfall at night.

Yeah, that's where I got my first one but only after I finished the 2nd dungeon, that's why I was wondering if it's possible to get them right away and I was just hella unlucky. It was all I needed to upgrade the dumb shield that I never remember to use.

For me the shield came in handy in later parts of the game. I think you've just been unlucky with getting stuff. Though equipping the treasure medal makes a big difference. With that equipped I'm constantly getting drops from monsters and shit.
