Yoshi and I cancel each other out and create a Good Taxpayer.
You can take the quiz here.
I know, but based on all the responses to my questions my position on the chart was left-of-center libertarian. Hell, even I apparently agreed with some of Cruz's and Trump's policies (and about half of all the republican candidates' policies), but those were on the economic side. I'm a social liberal, fiscal conservative and a big issue for me right now is climate change and how we're going to deal with it. The fact that republicans don't believe in climate change, or at least the majority don't, makes me shake my head in disbelief. How can you deny science? My own Tea Party brother who works on weather satellites (has been for over 20 years) doesn't believe in climate change. He thinks it's some liberal financial scheme to rip people off and control the population. What. The. Fuck?! To show his ignorance, I asked him if he would believe in it if a republican brought up the idea, and he didn't answer. He won't even recycle because that's a "liberal thing" according to him. Also, when he hears words like compassion, altruism or empathy, all he hears is "liberals, socialists, liberals, socialists, etc." Logic has gone bye-bye in his world. 'Tis quite sad.
And Josh, you may be mellowing out in your old age. 10 years ago I don't think that red dot would even show on the graph ;)
I wasn't doubting your result. It was the implication that Bernie Sander is slightly left of center.
I'll take the quiz too for shits and giggles.
edit: The "how important is this to you" makes it a bitch.
edit2: Here you go:

edit3: Someone I used to work with asked me yesterday who I preferred, and I told him I was leaning toward Rubio, so there you go. I think the Trump result is bullshit, because what he says changes by the week.
That I agree with, which is why I was completely shocked when I saw the results. I think my stance on environmental issues is what made me feel the Bern, that and the shared belief that corporate executives should be arrested for their shady behavior. Accountability must be established. I mean, China, the most steal-happy country in the world, is cracking down on corruption/fraud among its corporations. If they can do it, we definitely can.
Yeah, I left everything in the middle except for the issues I felt most strongly about.
97% Bernie, 94 Hillary according to that thing. I still haven't done enough reading to make a decision. I'm busy doing important things like drawing funny butts all day.
Bernie Sanders is not slightly left of center, but he's also not some far out hippie. He's really not.
His positions are mainstream in Europe. The conservatives in Britain support fully nationalized health care, for example. They'll tinker around the edges but it's still a position with broad consensus in a first world nation.
And we had free tuition at many state universities up until, I think, the late 1960s. That's not that long ago.
Edit: as I've said before here his platform is mainly about good jobs, helping American workers, income inequality, etc. these are conservative positions. He supports gun rights. Etc.
