The alt-right vastly overestimates its electoral importance.
You and a bunch of old women maintained that.
We did see basically two other parties pop out within the democratic and republican parties. The republicans have wrestled with it's tea party for years now. Just because our system isn't set up to handle more than two (and never will be without parliamentary systems of some sort), doesn't mean that there aren't very strong movements going on in both parties with very different ideals.Quote:
I'd love to see a viable third party anything, but that ain't happening this year. Maybe the Republicans will officially split in half after all of this.
tbh, the primaries were pretty exciting to watch on both sides, I haven't seen something like that before in my life at least.
Was that your first primary?
I don't think the Berner movement has the juice to split off on its own, fwiw. No moreso than the Hillary '08 movement did. It might look like it does from the inside? Different competing factions inside of the dem. party are as old as the party, it's only ever been a coalition of often-contradictory progressive interests.
The far left mostly serves to keep shit from getting done. We could have had universal basic income under fucking Nixon if they didn't flounce and slam the door shut over it not being enough money.
I tone down how much I actually like her, due to the fact that I enjoy walking down the streets death-threat free. But, with that said, I'll still engage in popular discussion because it pleases me to do so. When it comes down to the wire, I know she'll win and I have faith that everyone will come around in their own way eventually. Or they'll move to Canada, iunno.
i will do neither.
Well, by "come around in their own way" I mean "continue life as normal for the next 4 years while grumbling about the current leader"
Same as it ever was.

If this had been posted outside the debate, there would be a part of me still tempted to vote for Trump just to see the self-righteous tears floweth like the Ganges on November 9th.
Luckily, there's no way this was posited outside the debate, because TNL has assured me that the Campus SJW Thing is a phony alt-right fabrication that totally doesn't exist.
I want to modify my statement. HRC can win the election two ways 1) take every bit of advise Milo offers denouncing the alt-left of post-2012. Or 2) nothing and take a gamble.
You cannot overestimate passion.
Barack got it, the GOP ran scared shitless, ignored the passion around old, but radical Ron Paul, put in a moderate but passionless, once defeated 8 years prior, McCain and lost.
Romney was a repeat.
This cycle Trump is Obama, wrangling up all the hope & change passion, with no substance at a greater magnitude... and the DNC is tossing out the old, but radical Bernie Sanders who captured all the passion, and puts in a moderate but passionless, once defeated 8 years prior, Hillary Clinton ...and just like the GOP did, they will lose.
Unless the fire dies out around Trump with a coke-up blow-out like Howard Dean had in '04, which judging by 4chan's reaction, the debate was. Two more of those turn offs and the alt-right will not vote. And that loss of passion is what loses elections.
But for now, grab a beer and praise KEK.
LOL
The way the Senate races are looking to be closely tied to the Presidential race this year, Yoshi'd best watch out. The Tax & Spenders are comin' for his nuts with a rusty razor.
Honestly, whoever wins this election, 4chan already won.
I got $5 on Trump.
Hillary is going to win because she was always intended to win.
Bernie was suppose to be a clown socialist. Trump is a clown asshole.
Everyone could vote for Trump and she will still win. No one is giving Trump electoral votes.
Really? I don't know about you guys, but I knew she was going to be president at least 4 years ago. I don't know why any of you think you have a choice in it
Hillary Clinton is The Nothing to Donald's Meme Magic.

lol the uranium thing never quite stuck, did it?
Trump's serial preference for independent contractors over large corporations specifically for their inability to sue for nonpayment, however... that seems to be sticking.
April 2015? Don't hold your breath.
also: read the corrections at the end of the article. ;)
Oh thank goodness, that makes it all better.
I like how you didn't post that when it favored Trump less than a week ago.
According to the John Oliver piece, the uranium deal required several other people's affirmation for it to go through. Maybe they were all paid off? Regardless, at worst it would be politics as usual.
Because there's no truth to be found in it because liberal, comedy, or both?
It's because it doesn't contain 2016, come on.
Yoshi serving up that classic "gonna shit on it without any personal knowledge of it" schtick.
the only thing I've really dived into of Parish''s was his Gameboy youtube stuff. I found them boring, but informative and (to my limited knowledge) accurate.
That what you mean?
Why isn't anyone asking about Hilary's missing flag pin!
What the fucking shit is this. Why would anyone care this much about this. It's a fucking clever graphic t-shirt. Welcome to the internet.Quote:

Milo isn't alt-right. They don't like him. They see him as an apologist who waters down their message of white nationalism. And they disapprove of his homo lifestyle.
And there's no such thing as the alt-left. Milo is the king of inventing liberal strawmen. You understand that most PTSD sufferers are rape victims, and that PTSD triggers are a real thing not connected to "social justice," or political correctness, right?
This sign is the correct context for trigger warnings. It's just basic respect, and it makes sense. What I said is that trigger warnings over "capitalism" or "racism" are mostly people making fun of millennials and getting reported as real stories, or just attention-seekers.
Reagan dayglow tees 4 sale.
Then you've either not been exposed to much of the latter, or you're just a big know it all that knows everything about everything.
There doesn't seem to be much documentation of JO's mistakes, with the exception of using a picture of Canada's house of commons when talking about the UK's house of lords.Quote:
Like I said, I'm not very familiar with JP's track record, it could be crap, I'm not arguing that. JO's doesn't seem to be crap though. That's what I'm arguing.
If there's a right wing leaning dude that has the same format as the daily show or LWT, please share it with me. I'd love to get information from both sides. I can live with bias; I can't live with twisting shit around so that the information being disseminated isn't lies but may as well be.
It's incredibly weird to me that liberals can't seem to get a foothold in talk radio, and conservatives can't seem to get a foothold in "be funny and mostly truthful."
I don't know anyone outside of the internet who has any interest in the news being funny. I don't think it's that weird. Also, talk radio works well during a commute in your car, which also isn't that weird.

Speaking of funny news...
1. I didn't say people who don't use the internet. I meant anyone I know personally, as opposed to only on the internet.
2. I also didn't say Democrats don't own cars. They do, however, tend to live in places with public transportation.
If I gauged interest on people I personally know, my world outlook would be very insulated.
I thought you were going for the poor/welfare state with the car thing. Yet even in the world of public transportation, things such as personal radios/streaming devices exist.
There are some right-wing stand ups that are pretty funny, like Colin Quinn and Nick DiPaolo. But I don't think the conservative audience really wants to laugh, they want to be frightened.
See this is what makes SJWs conservative and the Alt-Right liberals. It's also Trumps greatest weakness. He pisses people off like a troll, but he also lacks the humor of a troll (unless he's pulling nth degree chess).
Milo is it. He's the Alt-Right Jon Stewart. Alex Jones and Glenn Beck are just breakdown machines.
Glenn Beck, imo, is far too liberal to be alt right. He doesn't know what to do with the alt-righters, he knows they listen to him and stuff but he doesn't really acknowledge them. He's recently shown support(ish) for BLM. I still maintain he's a fiscal conservative and social liberal, but he covers it up really well.
Gave what to herself, government positions? Or uranium?
The Clinton Foundation gave money to hillary.
Well well well, detective. You've cracked the case. But can you save... yourself?
Uranium enema.
Can we ban yeller from political theads?
I'll agree to go if you do.
why does Yellerdog like Clinton so much, was there ever an answer on that
Or was it just the Bernie Bros driving him that way
Partially a reaction to the useless deep-left Bay Area Bern-or-Bust crowd I'm surrounded by, partially for the lolz. tell no one about the lolz
No one, what about d'm lolz
dem lolz
or just don't like Bernie and Hillary Bros
up in Seattle, I don't hear a lot of Trump nuts
STOP SAYING ALT-RIGHT FOR SHIT THAT ISN'T ALT RIGHT. I know you think you learned a new word, but you don't know what it means.
The Alt-Right are Neo-Nazis. Nothing less. Milo has crowned himself queen of the Alt-Right because he wrote an article about them and people paid attention to him, but the Alt-Right don't actually like him because he's a gay Jew and he misrepresents them. Notice how the front page of the top Alt-Right site has a picture of him with a cartoon hook nose on it atop an article about whether or not the Alt-Right is planning to murder him.
ha ha.
Now you know my frustration when you started every other post with I mean.
I mean, in fairness, I did start the other half with "in fairness."
touche.
You chose to live in the Bay Area, dude. A place known throughout the country for being excessively liberal. Seems kinda silly to get a chip on your shoulder over a political climate you should have seen coming a million miles away.
Ask the Four Wude.
None of them have the juice.
The Alt-Right is more than just the stormweenies and christfags, it's also atheists, libertarians who lean to nationalism, punks, trolls, and anyone else disaffected by the conservative GOP, the DNC oligarchy, or anything to do with business-as-usual fuck-the-proletariat government. It's anonymous, 4chan, Reddit, and right-wing ex-Vice, it's Milo, it's tin foil InfoWars nuts. It's what's getting Trump elected and it can't be defined simply by one sub-sect. That's like calling all BDSM people piss-queens.
You don't have the juice.
I definitely do not.
No. It's. Not. It's short for Alternative-Right, a white nationalist publication, and its only core defining belief is white nationalism/white supremecy.
Here is a poll on Reddit asking Alt-Right users if they are racist. 100% of them said yes.
That's what it is and always has been. You learned this word like fucking two weeks ago when Hillary said it, and now you think if Hillary said they're bad, it must be the cool kid's table. But Hillary was right: They're Nazis, and trying to hammer all this other shit into that does nothing but normalize the nazis.
Nazis are people too.
Stop being an alt-rightophobe, pls
Probably if he intends to have any fun with the job.
