You two do understand this is a joke, right?

Frog, not all these insane idiot liberals people quote are kidding or exaggerating.
The same hurricane hit the Dominican Republic where a grand total of four people died. Very tragic for those people. Nevertheless - four versus hundreds. DR is on the same fucking island as Haiti and the people of DR are brown too. The reason why so many people died in Haiti is because it is a corrupt shithole with no functioning infrastructure or government.
October surprise.
If Trump can somehow work "grab her by the pussy" into Sunday night's debate, I will bail on Johnson in a heartbeat.
Can I vote for him twice?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K1i8eKAbkI
I thought that was Kevin Costner.
Those are both terrible.
Pretty defiant apology by Trump, predictably falling back on attacking Clinton. The debate Sunday should be a disaster.
Imagine this: Trump bows out "for the good of party and country." Pence is now at the top of the ticket (RNC has to validate it, but with so many ballots already mailed it's the only feasible option). Pence taps a moderate, electable running mate like Kasich.
Unrealistic, I know. But I can't imagine a worse nightmare scenario for Hillary.
DO you think Hillary isn't going to win by double digits...?
Define win.
Like, she'll receive the most electoral votes? Probably.
Like, most of the country wants her for President? No.
She will win the popular vote by a truly awesome margin. That doesn't have any bearing on the majority of the country wanting her to be the president.
Those wouldn't be the real reasons, but it is what he'd have to say; the real question is whether his ego will allow him to drop out even out of self-interest. You know powerful people on the right have to be telling him "if you stay in and lose, which you almost certainly will at this point, we're going to make things very unpleasant for you after the election."
What does he care? He got what he wanted. Hell it might have been offered to him at the start.
He is always going to be famous. He's going to be the guy that ran against Hillary. He's going to be in history books.
Maybe there isn't so much a grand conspiracy, as Hillary just asked him at one of these parties or functions, "hey, would you like to be famous? Never forgotten? Well I got an idea..."
I was at a bar watching a local sports team and a Clinton commercial came on and everyone booed. I am not in Alabama or Texas. I am in New York City. She represented this state for 8 years. I still see more Bern signs and bumper stickers - hell I see more OBAMA signs - than I do HRC. People hate her. People really hate her.
I kind of wish we could push back the election a year and just re-do the primaries. Both of them. Have the exact same calendar just everything one year later.
Not to interrupt the useless discussion of the Trump comments but I thought this was hilarious.

Back on topic, do you guys really think this had an effect on any Trump supporters?
Not a Trump supporter, but open to the idea--at least for the next week or so, then I have to mail my ballot.
It's kinda hard to be critical of an entertainer for being in character when speaking to an entertainment journalist. I mean, what's worse? Joking about grabbing a woman by the pussy? Or using said pussy as an ashtray and then shaming her after the fact?
Also, Juanita Broaddrick, etc. Hillary doesn't want to venture too far down this road.
I don't understand who these stories are supposed to dissuade from voting for Trump. It's just like the tax thing: his supporters love him for this, don't they?
Hillary supporters are releasing things that would only dissuade Hillary supporters. They can't get out of their own perspectives. If they want to repulse a Trump supporter, they'll find him using the pronoun "ze," dutifully paying a parking ticket, or speaking to circumstances that occasion human decency and/or treading on me.
It's suppose to motivate Bernie Bros to get off the couch and vote so they can virtue signal how not misogynistic and friend to woman they are.
And it's suppose to take Wikileaks off the front page.
Are you so scandalized by this? He is who we thought he is.
And you know you've said worse. Much worse. Were those things utterances of the real you?
I think there's some gray area when we're talking about what does or does not constitute "in character" for Trump, so I'll put that aside.
That still leaves the issue of joking/talking about pussy grabbing, versus repeatedly sexually assaulting women (and enabling it). I really think the backfire factor here is dangerous territory for Clinton.
The half or so of Republicans who AREN'T his supporters, but were going to hold their noses and vote for him out of party loyalty/hatred for the Clintons. A lot more of them are probably going to just stay home (or feel the Johnson, lol) after last night, but of course we'll have to watch the polls to know for sure.
That's what's proplematic. These scandals are nothing but confirmations. We preceive Trump as Biff; 'Grab her right in the pussy!' confirms that. We preceive Clinton as Mr Burns; the bank speeches and DNC emails confirm that.
Does anyone care about the other side or is just about energizing the base?
Hmm...did they ever ID this guy?
Is it too late to put Harambe on the ballot?
I'm voting for Russell Wilson
his press conferences are so boring though
by the way, where did everyone land on whether Trump is/has been trying to throw the election? Not as a Democrat plant, but just as someone who had some level of casual interest ("I could probably run for President!"), rode a wave of upset Americans, made it near the top, hates losing (and losing the Presidency may be the most public failure one could have) and the only way out of this whole thing was to go so over the top he could (seemingly) legitimately say "I wasn't even trying to win, I mean look at all this stuff I've done"
in my heart of hearts I hope that's it
Well, he did tell Stern that he had been in a threesome. What if Bill was the third? Not in a gay way, but more like the ol' Chinese finger trap configuration (also known as the Eiffel Tower).
If he did, I hope he brings it up tomorrow night. Might as well go for broke at this point.
Maybe Trump will call in sick and have Monica and Paula Jones debate for him.
At this point, I think it's more accurate to say he doesn't care if he loses. Look at his debate prep up to this point: apathetic at best. I don't think he really wants to give up being part of his real estate gig (you better believe that if he gets elected that "blind trust" of passing it off to his kids will be a collossel joke).
He said it himself. With that hotel set to open up soon "one way or another I'll be on Penn Avenue." He loves the attention and TV time for the last year or so and now who does he have in his ear? That dude from Breitbart and Roger Ailes. That dude wants nothing more than a louder megaphone to scream through and Roger has shit to do now since he got thrown out so he'd be down for making a new network. Trump TV where Trump will be able to get onto whenever he wants with all the programming he wants and stuff it full of his own merch. Something he figured out how to do way back when he got into deep shit in the early 90's and has parlayed into aking money in his campaign by paying himself (see also: Trump Foundation).
I've been saying it for a while now. If trump wanted to lose this election what would he be doing differently?
So if the RNC disengages they can use funds for the down-ballot Republicans, right?
I honestly thought the RNC disengaged long ago. They've half-assed this entire election.

I wanna go to that show so bad :( Shkreli is there :(
damn the rnc just pulled the car over and tossed trump out like an unwanted pet huh, and here I was looking forward to the inevitable end of days he would've ushered in
ah well maybe the pro-trump gang can factionalize and we can still get a low-grade hatfield/mccoy thing going on instead of that race war
It's the whole media in bed with the DNC, no honest investigative journalism shit which should infuriate the public. Trump is a damn joke and I hate his wall, but he is damn right about the media fucking over the people for money.

We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to [take] them seriously.
Who wants to bet the Rs (and maybe the Ds too) institute minimum qualifications to get on the ballot in their primaries next presidential election? I'm thinking, 4 years as a member of Congress, governor, or mayor of a major city (i.e. bigger than some states in population/economy), under the same party.
And that is how America dies. Not by doing nothing. But by reacting to everything.
So, you're perfectly fine with the constitutionally protected institution intended to police corruption in the three branches of government by bringing truth out to the public being reduced to marketing wings of the two parties, spewing bullshit sales pitches designed by the fucking party itself?
Are you also cool with gangs telling the police what to do? Was Lt Ditrich your favorite character in Asphalt Jungle?
No, what I'm saying is

I have Gaslight. I've been meaning to watch it. Thanks.
I can't wait for the debate tomorrow.
I spent some time trying to find corrupt shit in the Clinton emails but instead I just found stuff like "Chelsea Clinton writing an articulate and genuinely caring email about her experiences in Haiti and how they can help" and "Hillary requesting her staff to print lots of things". Boring.
It'll dissuade every woman who's had a creepy guy grab her pussy. Which is almost every woman.
I mean there are plenty of allegations of rape on the Trump side too, which are more credible (at least to me) than those against Clinton, including forcibly raping a 13 year old girl. This isn't just joking, this is an accused rapist speaking about his entitlement to women's bodies.
I agree, Hillary shouldn't bring it up directly because Bill's history can be used against her, but let's not trivialize Trump here.
So there's a woman who was right about to vote for Trump until she found out just two days ago that he's an entitled creep who jokes about sexual assault?

You might want to watch it again.
Three replies. Actually watches video on the third reply.
This world is so fucked.
I do think Clinton should really stay out of this, as she's not really in a position to attack horny politicians. It is fun, however, to see the same party that steamrolled an impeachment of Clinton for being a horny politician fall all over itself trying to now defend one.
Technically, he was a horny celebrity/entertainer. No word yet as to whether or not he is still horny.
But probably.
Day late and a dollar short. Like I said months ago. They spent 20 years building this Frankenstein's monster, and now they're panicking because he's terrorizing the village.
That didn't take long.

Who cares? It's still good to sling mud at inappropriate social behaviour towards women. It may let younger men watching (who might be influenced) to check themselves.
He was directly talking about a professional female journalist at the time too. So that context is the bigger issue not just two guys privately bonding over shared attraction to passing women.
Then Bush instigated a kiss too, as sexy as it was.
"Who cares" how and to what degree this will affect the Trump campaign? Probably Trump supporters, Hillary supporters, Undecideds, and anyone with a stake in the election in America and abroad.
Not many outside of that, though -- you're right.
Don't you wish you could go back to the halcyon days when the debate topic was the size of Trump's penis?
Who here is thinking about voting for Jill?

Hey, nothing the moral compass of the country loves more than a multi divorced, marital cheating, lying, cussing, vulgar man that doesn't pay his debts, or taxes and insults the lame and meager. And they get rock hard when you insult vets.
He's a modern day Jesus really. You know, from the 6th book on Jesus's life? Written by Jerome the 22nd apostle.
Hey, and before someone drops the classic repubomb "but it was legal," who gives a shit? Moral conservatives don't follow the country's laws, they follow an old book of magic.
If we're going to give a shit about what the law says, we all need to shut up about abortion. Because that is legal too.
