I'll bet almost nobody remembers those because they weren't aired as much as the early Sega Genesis commercials. NEC's advertizing sucked, but I liked sound of the TurboGrafx-16 logo splash at the end, that was damn cool.

the commercials for Bonk's Adventure and Splatterhouse came on a lot back then during my Saturday mornings.
The Splatterhouse commercial scared the shit out of me.

I never saw any of those when I was a kid. If I had, Victory Run wouldn't have been the first game I bought.
Someone needs to find the video featuring the real life Johnny Turbo doing a talk show/infomercial. That was hilariously bad.
Ahhh...the glory days.
I didn't know that Altered Beast was on the PC Engine.
Altered Beast was released on PC-Engine HuCard and PC-Engine CD-ROM, both in September 1989.
Those bring back some memories.
