Alundra is...

FUCKING GREAT.:) I just got it today and I've been playing it for about 4 hours. This game is simply awesome. Better than Zelda from what I've seen so far and from what I gather I'm nowhere in the game. I have to bring flowers to Olen's grave now. One question: What happens if you get all the gilded falcons? Oh and I heard a lot of negative stuff about Alundra 2. Is it all that bad or just not as good compared to the original Alundra?

Alundra 2 is ass compared to the first one. its one situation where moving to 3d definitely ruined it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the first one and seems like a game from another series. Bad graphics, no dream walking, lame ass puzzles, and piss poor story to me killed the game.

Speaking as a big Landstalker fan... Alundra is one game I need to get one of these days.....

Hearkening back to those support days of yore-

You aren't going to get all the Guilded Falcons, I'm afraid, unless you're really, really lucky. One of the side-things you can do later is a Casino, and 2 out of 3 games are actually skill based. No problem there, they're actually pretty fun. Game #3 is roulette. If you're the kind of person who has the patience to beat roulette often enough to get the falcon, you scare me.

On the other hand, keep your eyes open for them anyway. You get a load of nice goodies for them, and you don't need to get them all to get the goodies either. You do, however, have to pay attention...

I think I recall doing that for a few hours until I got it. I still haven't finished the game, though.

I believe that you can trade Gilded Falcons for some of the best items in the game at a house near the beach that's somewhere south of the main town. The captain of the boat from the beginning of the games resides there, and he's got some nifty items.

I recall reading that Alundra II was developed by a different team, which is the reason why it sucked.

I was pretty far in the game, more than halfway through if I remember correctly, the puzzles were already starting to get pretty hellish.

Then, the LAST F**KING MEGA MEMORY CARD I WILL EVER OWN erased my game and I haven't been able to get back into it since :mad:

*sigh* One of these days I'll dust this thing off and take it off my pile of shame, but until then... :(

My favorite Playstation game by far! Everything about this game kicks ass. Part 2 was almost OK as far as games go, but sucked ass as a sequel. Alundra isn't even in the game for christ's sake! Stick to part 1 like they never even made a part 2. I envy that you're playing through this for the first time. I think I need to dust off my PSX and kick this games ass again.
