Yeah, this is a good idea.
Basically, it's a proposed scheme to have games, DVDs, and other electronic media activated at the counter in much the same way as gift cards. I love it when customers are treated as potential criminals, and if this can make each and every transaction take at least a full 30 seconds longer then all the better.
It's like the EMA is being sponsored by torrent groups worldwide.

This is why I try to only buy games on Steam unless it's something I just have to own that's not on there.

Let's push more consumers towards piracy. This is a brilliant idea guys!
Universally BAD idea. Reduce prices, simplier smaller packaging less development sunk into schemes that're broken in less than a week before release.
