I agree. LA is way too overrated. I prefer the beach areas: Hermosa, Manhattan, Redondo, etc.

How far is Long Beach from Redondo, like 40 minutes?

It's not as bad as you'd think. This will be my 3rd or 4th Christmas in CA and each time seems to be more enjoyable. If you want cold + snow on Christmas, I suggest hitting up upstate NY, the Midwest, or Alaska. ;)

Nah, unless you head down between 4-6pm or back up from 6-9am, it's like 20. 25-30 if you're a speed limit nerd like me.
