So I played a game of Command and Conquer Red Alert, and it's pretty good.
It's a bit slow in terms of scrolling and unit movement, and selecting multiple units is rather cumbersome as well. Also in the skirmish match I played, the computer AI was retarded, but I could see how it might be really enjoyable via multiplayer over wifi/bluetooth.
I think there is real potential for an EXCELLENT (full fledged) RTS to be made for the iPhone, but it definitely can't try to do TOO much in order for it to be successful. Someone should try porting (a knockoff of) Total Annihilation, or the original Age of Empires.
