I met people in the Marines who could barely speak English. I don't know all the specifics but there is a lot of Hispanic immigrants especially in the military.

Make it happen Thief, do it before too many things start tying you down. If you don't make it into the Peace corps, there's lots of other programs you can get into. The one I'm looking at right now is called bunac, you go to a different country and just get a job or do some type of volunteer work. I'm going to try to do it in a year from now, so I can get the hell out of this cold for awhile and go play in the jungle. You can volunteer in wildlife or environmental projects! (If that interests you...)

Yeah, I don't know about the Air Force specifically, but the Marines will take anyone that can carry out an order. For the brief time my brother was with them, he was in the minority for being a US-born, native English speaker. Most of his training unit was from Haiti.

go teach english in japan. How hard can that be?

and as a bonus you get to spend time in the bush. Or at least that's what bbobb keeps telling me.

You need a college degree for those programs. Thief may have one but I'm not sure.
