I echo Kedawa though, you'll never find what you're looking for if you're travelling just for shits and giggles. Make a list of things you want to accomplish before you go.Or you're just going to spend a lot on lonely nights in a country where nobody understands or cares about what you think.

I joined the Air Force when I was 21 and it was the best thing I ever did, I got the job I wanted, traveled the world twice over and saw many amazing things and met amazing people in different cultures. Just my two cents.

So go for it, you're not too old. Or find a way to work obtaining a pilot's license into your long term goals.
