It most certainly is when you're broke as fuck.

cheap beer and expensive beer are both good in their own ways. Beer snobs are annoying.
I <3 PBR
Some of the beer I really like is cheap as hell, like the McSoreley's Black and Tan (even though it's not really a Black and Tan) but let me tell you, the cheapest beer is NOT always the best beer. Really. And I've been broke for more time in my life than I have had money.
I'm amazed at how many taste awards PBR has won.
I second the 90 min.
I'm broke too, but I'd rather spend $12 on a 4 pack of 90 minute than on a 12 pack of PBR. Quality >>>>> quantity imo and the abv makes it equally effective.
I can't even pretend to enjoy wheat beers anymore. I had convinced myself that they were good for a while, but fuck it.
I had a Brooklyn Pilsner last night, which I hadn't tried before. It was okay, nothing really special about it. Their summer ale is pretty good. I was disappointed when I went home this past weekend and I couldn't go to Bier Garden in portsmouth and bone up on my beer snobbery.
I also got a six pack of Old Chub scottish ale (which is an Oskar Blues beer, who does Dale's) last week and it was pretty tasty. I don't think I have had a scottish ale before, I didn't expect it to be that sweet, or potent (like 8 abv)
I still enjoy Killians, this is a very decent beer.
