Darkstalkers Tribute Albumn

Last summer, Udon published a Street Fighter tribute album featuring both invited and selected artists from a huge pool of submissions. Apparently the turn out was so solid that they're going for it again, this time with the Darkstalkers franchise.

Hit the link for the details but the skinny is this: Do a 8.5x11 max of Darkstalkers characters ONLY in any way, style, situation, or medium of your choosing. The best ones get put in the the Tribute, which is a great way for exposure or just a great way to show off. No prize I'm afraid - if your submission is picked you get a copy of the book, bragging rights, and that's it.

I figure though, what better place to talk about it than on an art subforum of a games forum?

I thoroughly enjoyed the SF Tribute, but I don't know if the market for this is nearly as large, there hasn't been a new Darkstalkers in forever and it was never the watershed title SF was to begin with. Honestly I think a second volume of SF Tribute would be a much better-advised project, sales-wise.

But hey, I'm interested in it, so I guess that's all that matters. I'll definitely try my hand at a submission.

I definitely want to buy this. I'm sad I missed the Street fighter tribute's pre-order stuff.
