This is the exact opposite of our justice system. We don't summarily kill criminals left and right for a reason. The list of people getting off of false murder charges due to DNA alone ought to give even the most hardened arm chair vigilantes pause.

You're talking about old crimes. All of the DNA evidence should be long presented by the time the appeals are over for anything recent.
