It's too bad Obama wasn't in charge of the storm itself. The coast would have had a lot more time to prepare.

The commerce department wants to make streaming copyrighted material a felony. This includes public performance (which is INSANE) Any of those Youtube videos with someone covering their favourite song? Fuck you, felon. Musicians get their start by learning and playing other people's songs. This is a mistake. Money runs the show.

So would playing Plush in my bedroom be a crime?
Or would a bunch of narcissists just need to find another hobby? I don't think society would suffer much if you weren't allowed to post dumb videos of yourself playing other people's music on youtube.
Actually, all those covers really piss me off when I'm searching for the real thing.
So where's the site I can go to show my support for this?
Just walk straight into the ocean forever.
sometimes covers are pretty good, sometimes better than the real thing. In conclusion, covers are COOL and OBAMA isn't.
It's already illegal, this just stiffens the punishment (not that I agree). So when I 'stream' a copyrighted program off the YouTubes, how are they & I not charged?
What happens if you click a playlist?
Obama zaps the clap into your pee pee via the new ACA mandated STD ray gun.
...at least that's what voters in Louisiana told me.
Fuck it, I'm with Obama on this one.Quote:
As was pointed out last time they tried this, many artists depend on uploading YouTube covers to jumpstart their careers (including the young Justin Beiber...)
Isn't there already a system in place on Youtube where copyright holders get paid royalties out of ad views? Surely the same thing can be transferred over to covers.
Point is I don't see why we need to start talking felony. This has been floated around for years though.
