No one's stunned, just bitching about what was going to happen no matter who was elected. Oh wait, no we would've had more tax cuts and less spending the other way. RIGHT? Bull fucking shiiiiiiiiyit.

You're missing the point. For what little Obama spoke about his policies if he were elected, he did speak about the current recession and what he would do if he were made President. Now here we are, almost a month into his term, and he's doing exactly what he said he'd do with the economy. But, what's this? People are angry over it? You fuckers voted him in. Instead of spending time listening to his damn slogans of "Yes we can!" and "Change" maybe everyone who voted for him should have actually studied up on the issues and see where his faults lie, before actually voting for him.
I'm not surprised by what's going on, I would have felt as kinda torn with McCain if he did nothing, either way we were going to get two polar opposites, and there is no proof yours would have worked over this plan.
At least with McCain the chances of us being a Socialist country have a lower percentage.
No, because it's impossible for us to become a socialist country. You could say the % of policies that are socialist policies we have is going to go up, and yeah sure I can buy that. But you can't spout that ignorant bullshit unless you're trying to incite false outrage. You may as well go post on Hannity's forums.
Unfortunately the only real spending freeze I can find is Nixon's wage spending freeze to halt inflation which had absolutely no effect. So the only reason I would lean towards that spending freeze idea which sounds horrible is because there isn't a real clear precedent.
Nor is this Depression either. The Great Depression part 1 had no precedent, sure. But all of FDR's policies are in place and/or have been improved upon. So, this shouldn't have happened. The bailout is only making this worse and the confidence in the US Markets are faltering because of it. Thereby drastically making the situation worse than it is. We should never have bailed out any company to begin with.
edit: I had to quote Thief.
